2015 || Blog Post Plans

Thank yous to everybody who commented and emailed about the 2015 Tmarie blog post plans :) I've made a little schedule and we are going to try it out and see how well it works. It's using basically all the same things I've been posting on since the beginning of the blog but it a more balanced and dependable manner. :)  I'm going to do "Vintage Vursday" and "Vintage Vunday" (Thursday and Sunday) which will be outfit posts, hair stuff, anything vintage that I've found or that I've made etc. Hopefully I'll come up with a better name though since Vursday and Vunday is kind of weird.  On Fridays I'm going to try and do photography. Like things from everyday life, still life, pictures from the abortion mill etc. And I'm planning on starting to Instagram little random things and then doing "Instagram lately" posts or something on Friday's maybe too. We'll see.  On Tuesdays will be "random". Which will be like my Thoughts posts, but with not so personal of thoughts. More like thoughts on faith, thoughts on issues and thoughts on topics. Like writing kind of posts with little or no pictures :P And this will also be music posts, whether singing videos, or studio pictures, or song updates and the like. And then random life catch-up, cakes from work (if not in the photography post) and sewing.  And then sprinkled here and there will be like photography stories-like our trip to Blowing Rock, and Atlanta, and the upcoming Myrtle Beach.  I'm looking forward to blogging with ya'll this year!!

THIS CAKE was literally so easy it's not even funny. But it's so gorgeous!!! I remember pinning cakes like this a lot back in the day and now I'm making them lol too fun :) Shouts out to ombre rosettes :)

2015 || Questions for YOU

So to start off the new year I thought it would be good to give the little blog here a refresh if needed. Which means asking ya'll some questions. Such as what do you want me to post more about.  I currently have a few categories, fashion, photography, cakes, music, random, and sewing. But if there is another category you'd like me to post in, I want to know! Do you want me to continue posting a sprinkling of each, how I'm kinda doing currently, or is there a certain category you'd like to see more of? Or a new category all-together? How often would you like me to post? Two times a week? Three times a week? Once a week? More, less? Same? What can I improve about Tmarie?  Please give me feeback! :D Looking forward to 2015!  xoxo

Sunsets

The other night Joshua came running in "Theresa, Theresa, get your camera!!" And the sky was absolutley amazing!!! There was like a perfect line between The red and the blue-I've never even seen a sky like that before! Sunsets are one of my favorite things. :)

Care's Nail Art

Before I get started, I don't know if you noticed, but the images on here now have a Pin It! hover button. So supposedly if you click it you can pin the image to Pinterest. Like these nails...:P This is a blog post with pictures of nail polish designs, my very talented sister Caroline, has done. Sadly she doesn't have a bunch of photos, but these are ones that she does have :)  These are my nails right now that she did for me. Little cupcakes. :)

My Mixer Mailbox

The other day I was going through my scrap bin(sssssssssssssss). I didn't exactly have a project in mind, but when I saw some soft blue and white striped cotton I thought "hey, that would make a good mixer cover". Because you see, at work our current mixer cover (we just throw it on to prevent dust) is a somewhat shredded hot pink plastic bag. Not that the bag doesn't serve it's purpose fine, because it does. I just thought a mixer cover might be an upgrade (leave things better than you found them, right?)  So I made one. I don't remember the dimensions, but I kind of eyeballed it (and googled the mixer to see what the measurements were haha). And after I made it, it stood on it's own and reminded all my family members of a mailbox.  The two end pieces are more heavily quilted, resulting in a sturdier mailbox. The large piece in between is also quilted but it's more soft and mold able to the machine :)

 I made binding and piping out of the same fabric so everything just kind of blends together.

So that's my mixer mailbox! And I'm trying to think of other things that would like mailboxes too but so far I haven't come up with anything :P

The Brush Out

So I thought I'd do a quick post of how I did my hair today (Ruth will be excited haha)....I had really wanted to recreate some vintage coke ads (which I didnt end up doing :-\ ) but this is how it turned out.  The front and sides were pincurled, but I ran out of head space, so in order to curl the back foam rollers got used too. I have a mammoth amount of hair and it probably took, upwards of 45 curls to curl it all lol. It ended up feeling a little bushy, but with less curls it would have never dried. I left the curls in for two nights. 

How my hair looks right now, after a full day of work and some rain. 

What do you think? Any tips for getting a better brush out?  Hopefully I will have another photo tutorial up soon. :-)
