Little Quirks.....and Lots of Sparkle :)

We definitely have little quirks. A rather large amount of little quirks :P But thankfully I think we both have enough sparkle to make up for them eh? Isn't that right Callan? :D
Today we had the great pleasure of the Rushings coming over in the afternoon. I picked up Callan earlier when I took Care to driver's ed. :) We ate spaghetti and meatballs for breakfast (well Callan didn't eat the spaghetti), which we later learned was what they were supposed to be eating for dinner tonight. Oh dear.
We planned out a "dress" for a co-op formal she's going to in two weeks, got some school work accomplished, and of course played guitars and sang :) 'Cause that's just how we do :)
I had a blast, as always, and Stephen was sweet enough to take photos of the two of us. Impromptu photo shoot! So finally the blogging collaboration we had been planning on. :) And again, here's her blog!

I forgot how to make a hand gun....lol

Callan looks like she is thoroughly enjoying those leaves

A Rambling About Sunset Skies

Today has been a busy day. I wasn't even going to blog, but then I thought, well why not. Plus some interesting things happened, like the moustache truck.

Apparently if you are driving down Independence early in the morning, you might see this adorable little truck. I didn't take a photo while driving, Care took it for me :) This my friends, is why you should always have your camera with you. Moustache trucks!
I love sunsets. From the instant the sun begins to slip down, down, down below the tree line. When this happens there is that hazy glowing light which illuminates small bugs flying about, and the horrible way in which some people wash windows, and how many smears you have on your sunglasses. Now you're probably thinking I'm being sarcastic, but in reality I really do love this light. It's like a halo, making whispery pieces of hair catch on fire and shine. It catches dust in a most pleasing manner, and creates rays and patterns of light through the air, coming from heaven and ending at earth. Shadows start to play, and bit by bit they grow and cover more ground.

I love it when it you can see the sun for the fire ball that it is. Granted you can't typically see all of it, but you can see this half moon of orange fire. The color is so vibrant and alive. It makes me wonder if that's how the colors in heaven will be. Colors we see here on earth, but they'll be alive. It looks like the sun has melted into a glowing puddle.

I took this pic on Brookshire, headed towards Walmart at a stoplight.
I love it when the sky is swept with pastel hues. It's ombre to perfection. Soft golden orange and yellow, that blends up into pink and red, then purple, then that light blue which is the color of a setting sky. Perfectly smooth and tranquil. It's not night time looking exactly, but it still reminds me of lullabies I listened to when I was young.

I love it when the pastel ombre and vibrant fire meet as one in the sky. This might be my favorite time. It's getting dark everywhere else, and the entire heavens are set on display. Showed off better by silhouetted trees and houses, the colors clash. But it's not a bad kind of clashing, it's beautiful. I love it.

My poor neighbors, I hope I didn't scare them by parking on the street in front of their house and flashing away with the camera. Oops. I'm sorry if I disturbed them! :)

My face is not in these pictures because my face does not react well with a bright flash. You'll see me again soon, don't worry. My outfit is something I put together in a rush today but I really like it now. I took a summer dress and turned it into a fall and winter skirt! Yay! :)

A Few Pictures From Work

Now I'm going to be gone for a few days, but I'll leave you with some pictures I took at work yesterday. :)
I only took a picture of like the last two cakes I did, by all means go order a cake...we can do lots and lots of different kinds! Here is a link to the website, where you can find a number to order by phone, the address to buy in store, and the button to order online.
I'm so busy when I'm working, and thus can't really stop to take pictures. But I did snap a few, and will try to snap more when I'm there again next week. It's a most fabulous job with a most fabulous lady :) I LOVE working there!!!!

A Beautiful Parking Lot Morning

Care has been having the driving part of her drivers ed this past week, and I've been taking her and dropping her off. Problem is, it's pretty early in the morning (at least for me). But I guess there's always something good in a situation eh? Like sunrises? And warm glowing light? :)

Caroline is a perfect picture of fall. Orange shirt, denim, sparkly oxfords. And then of course the sunshine gave it the warm glow. Except it wasn't warm, it was chilly. It just looks warm.

I think I might have been a little warmer than Care...my dress is plaid flannel! Oh yeah! :D Sorry, I was just really excited about this dress. This is exactly how I looked the day before, but a little worse. I told you I hate waking up early...so I literally just went to bed in everything so I wouldn't have to get ready again in the morning (a few more minutes of sleep ;D). My hair looked better the first day obviously :P

I LOVE my new boots. They are perfect for work and have a 50's vibe to them to. I chose snow boots because they are water proof, which means if I drop icing or spill something or step in water (it's weird under the sink), they'll still be ok. Plus, they are warm and I have to go into the freezer, and they have that nice thick sole (I stand the whole time). I think I need to get some insoles still, but I'm lovin' 'em!
Also...I was backing out of JP's driveway...and in an attempt to not hit their aunt's car (btw, she was in it and TERRIFIED ME lol) I ended up hitting the mailbox...and knocking....my mirror off. Thankfully the mail box was perfectly fine (I was crawling out of the driveway, like 1 MPH), but I must have hit the mirror in the wrong spot because it shattered and fell off. Whoopsy daisy! I'm going to get it fixed though. Right now it's taped, and is still useable. When you look into it it's like a funny mirror, but hey, again, find the good in the situation, you can get a good laugh while driving. I had so much fun watching distorted cars behind me.
