Recording!!! || Parts Two & Three || :D :D :D

I kind of have to combine parts two and three of my recording series....:P Hopefully ya'll won't mind. :)
Part two was pictures "in the studio." So here are a few snapshots. It's much bigger in real life, and has really sweet lighting...I am not master of my flash yet so it doesn't look all that cool lighting wise in the photos. Oops :). The studio is SWEET though, really really cool :D He's got a pretty neat set up going on in there.
painted records on the wall

I loved the sound absorbing foam. It has glitter in it, like I might just have to buy some myself!!

I wore the head sets with one ear on and one ear off. It mixed me up with both on or both off :P
the room through that window is where you record
Here's the song! It's me singing, but then JP and his wife sing harmony on one of the verses and a chorus (*awesome!!!*). JP especially is kind of quiet I think, but it's so amazing to be singing with him. For me, singing with him is the equivalent of say Callan singing with Taylor Swift. I'm so happy guys, you have no idea :)

Love ya'll! Xoxo,

South Mountains

This is mainly an outfit post since I didn't take an awful lot of pictures. Picture credits of me go to Care :)
I could describe the weather and the way everything looked for you, but that would take too long. :P

The top of the 80 foot waterfall we hiked too. I couldn't get a pic of the whole thing :/

I got a new black belt! Gift from mama

my hair did not want to stay in that snood
The kids were playing on the hundreds of boulders scattered about in the river. I thought it would make a good photo for me to go and sit on one, but I ended up getting stuck. And stucker and stucker. It was a good bit before I made it back to the family, and Joshua said it was incredibly embarrasing for them to have to watch my struggles because of the other people that hiked past. Lol.

I was able to get the pictures though :P

Snood: I'm not sure. It's either been left at my house by Bascha...or I bought it at Sally Beauty Supply
Dress: thrifted, VV, refashioned
Belt: thrifted, Goodwill
Shoes: TOMS, probably Nordstroms
Earrings: cute little panda's, Care's, Kholes?

Fabulous Forties

Yay for thrifting! I don't think the dress is true vintage...but then again I don't know how to tell. I'd say it's probably an 70's/80's does '40's kind of thing. It's cute anyhow :D And the SUNGLASSES!!! I assure you, I'm going to Plato's Closet again!!

look at the little flower and sparkles aaaahhh! Love 'em! :D

wow I look so awkward

Isn't that a great scarf too?

being goofy
Scarf: thrifted, Salvation Army
Dress: thrifted, Salvation Army
Sunnies: thrifted, Plato's Closet
Shoes:....don't look at those lol
Earrings: Care's, probably Belk

What do you think of this outfit? Would you guess the dress was vintage or no? How has your week been? Xoxo

What's On My Sewing Table

I know some of you are getting ancy about the figure skating dress and wanting to see it's progress. So I'll blog about it first.
Sadly, I don't really have a whole lot of progress to update ya'll on. I've made the mockup, but due to my not so regular schedule, I haven't had a chance to meet up with Olivia for her to try it on. But the good progress would be the mock-up, which fits both me and Care fairly well :P. And *SQUEALS* I have the fabric, a lovely black stretch velvet, and the pattern worked out, and the elastics and all the hundreds of rhinestones :D. I'm very excited about this project!
the fabric :D
the basic mock-up with out the skirt
the other stuffs :)
The next project update is the Chemise a la Reine I'm working on for Gma. It's got it's sleeves attatched, and ribbons purchased. The only things left is hemming the skirt (blaaaaaaaahhhh), gathering the sleeve channels (aka stitching down those ribbons), and making the sash. It's looking very pretty and very sheer. And because I love you I'm putting in a sneak peak picture of the dress. It probably doesn't look that impressive to ya'll at the moment hahaha.
the dress without it's sash
the sleeve...without it's gathering ribbons.
And since I haven't showed you Caroline's dress fabrics and inspiration painting I might as well add that in here too :).  I have 11 1/4 yards of blue taffeta, 100 yards of soft white lace trimming, and 25 or 50 yards of pink ribbon (no photo) for the roses. Still need some pink striped ribbon/fabric for the bows.
in some of the other scanned photos of this painting the fabric isn't quite as teal.
fabric and lace for Caroline's dress
Also I FOUND FABRIC FOR MY MOM'S DRESS!!!!!! And that's in all caps because I thought I'd NEVER find it, but I did, and all 5 1/2 yards cost $11. :D :D :D

the inspiration dress
And I bought a new pair of scissors. That's all for now! I'll keep you posted as things start to happen. Love ya!
